Accessibility

KDV Labs wants everyone to be able to read this site and reach us through it, whatever they use to browse. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard United States regulators and courts apply to websites.

Where we stand

This site substantially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Substantially" is doing real work in that sentence: it means every criterion we can test, we have tested and pass, and we have not had the site audited by an independent accessibility professional or tested with every combination of assistive technology in use.

How it was tested

• Automated checks with axe-core 4.13 on every page, in every state the page can be in — panels open and closed — at desktop and 320px widths.
• A keyboard-only pass: every control reached with Tab, operated, and left, with the focus indicator visible at each step.
• Manual checks against the criteria automated tools cannot judge: contrast of interface boundaries, text spacing overrides, 200% resizing, reflow, and the accessible name of every control.

What we have done

• Text and interface boundaries meet the AA contrast ratios.
• Every control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator that is never hidden behind an overlay.
• The app panel is a real dialog: focus moves into it, stays inside it, closes with Escape, and returns to the control that opened it.
• Every image carries a description of what is on it.
• The page reflows to 320px and honors a reduced-motion preference.

Known limitations

• The contact form and the app details panel need JavaScript. With it turned off, our email address is still printed in the footer of every page, and that route reaches us just as well.
• We have not had an independent audit. Everything above is our own testing, which means our own blind spots are in it.
